Family At The Beach               By Linn Lorkin

. . . At the beach by the sea
In out tents en famille
With a stretcher for you and a lilo for me
And a primus to cook with and fresh fish for tea
Oo-oo-ooh what a lovely time we had . . .

From the website:
Camp next to the clear waters and golden sands of Tōtaranui Beach at the northern end of the Abel Tasman National Park. It's a great place to relax on the beach, swim, kayak, fish or explore native bush on one of the nearby tracks.
That is all true.  The campers are self sustaining types because the only facilities are cold water showers, toilets, and fireplaces.  You take out your rubbish and recycling, no power and limited cell phone coverage at the boat ramp.  There less campers this year and they were a mixture of families with pre school children and retired folks like us but still a few trampers with accents and little vans they sleep in and tour around in.
The blip is the forester pegging down the floor of the tent.  Each year we have the same conversation about up grading to a new tent.  One of these days.
