Almost at the very top

Spent time this afternoon clearing some of the fallen debris around the perimeter of the section. Following which I had a short rest, and a large glass of water before heading out on what has become one of my standard circuits; it is a very pleasant road run to start with, mainly downhill. Today, on that downhill, I saw (again) a unique species of duck. Bright yellow, they are known as Plasticus floaters. I've posted the photo as an extra.

The main photo was taken in our backyard after the run, which went better than any I have done recently. Near the top of a Kauri tree, a nursery spider has woven  anursery for its young.
