No.2 is staying with us for a few days, which is lovely, if unexpected.  Not only is there no food in the house, not unusual when there are only two of us, but it meant some serious bathroom juggling this morning as both she and I needed to leave the house at the same time. I got the short straw and had to get up earlier which could have resulted in an early start in the office but Eunice and Franklin put paid to that and trains were sporadic at best.

At least I had no onward connection, No. 2. had to get to MK!

My MiL has been quite hard work this weekend as well. She's obviously been upset by the storms and must have phoned five or six times yesterday to tell us her neighbours fence had blown over. We've told her not to worry and that isn't her fence but she doesn't understand and seems to think it should be fixed by now. She also called to say her phone wasn't working. She was using it to call us so what she really means is no-one had called her!

This is a very iconic building. I have a friend who had an office in there, he said it was awful inside.
