There was a sudden flurry of activity on the bird feeders in the rain this morning, then it's been quiet despite the fact that the sun came out this afternoon. The sunflower hearts were very popular with the blue tits, great tits, robin and a coal tit (only one fuzzy photo).

Just over £71 to fill up 3/4 of a tank of petrol today!!!

Such awful news about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. My thoughts are with the people living in the affected areas and let's hope this doesn't escalate into something too terrible to even contemplate. 

Day 710 / Day 1 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
All remaining legal restrictions have been lifted in England that were there to manage the spread of Covid. I'm wondering if the timing was brought forward as much to divert funds for dealing with the Ukraine crisis as being the right time to do so. The Queen has postponed her virtual audiences for the 2nd time today - I'm glad she's resting, but it is worrying.
