Winter Returns

Our snowy landscape has returned with snow falling all day long. When it ends tonight we’ll have close to 8” to clean up tomorrow • Seed and suet feeders have been buzzing all day long with chickadees, titmice, house finches and downy woodpeckers seeking nourishment, while large flocks of goldfinches covered the ground in search of seeds under the new snow • Another day spent monitoring the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I fear what will happen if they don’t receive real-time, on the ground, assistance.
