A path through the woods

A grey morning, but the sun finally put in an appearance as we were walking round Fernald Preserve this afternoon. We felt quite cold when we started out, but warmed up as we walked. I was hoping to find some bird life to blip, but whilst there were quite a number of different species on Lodge Pond, they were too far away to get a good picture. Some of the paths are gravel covered as shown in my blip, and these were fine, but there’s a good stretch that was really muddy, as many of the trails will be after the melting snow and ice that came while we were gone, and then quite a lot of rain yesterday.
