Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Yellow and Blue

Thinking of the Ukraine, of course.

Report on the opera, Blue…so glad we went and saw it live!  It was very poignant, sad, funny, visually inventive and very engaging.  Important.   At first I thought the “modern” music too strident for my ears, but I got to love the harmonies…. and a real orchestra can’t be beat.    It’s an old art form about what’s happening now and altho nothing in the story of a black boy getting killed by white police is new, there was so much about family and community that could be shared by these amazing  African American singers.

Keeping the opera alive in general is a concern…Seattle has cut down it’s performances for next year  (our night) and trying to reassign everyone.    I’m just not sure we will subscribe to the whole season next year for the first time since 1969.    Maybe pick one or two.

And that puzzle from yesterday is back in its box.   It might go to someone who could do it.  New one out.
