First day of spring

A day (well, 10am- 4pm) looking after the wee one as she was off nursery on account of chicken pox, the poor itchy wee thing. Her poor parents were a bit scratchy too having had a couple of very bad nights' sleep.
After a play at Starbank Park pushing a wheelbarrow with sticks about, she came back to ours and slept soundly for a couple of hours, not even being disturbed by the arrival of Waitrose man.
Later, off up town to a presentation on all things financial, which was most interesting. After the second speaker, my head was full to bursting. All I can remember is inflation. Asset values way out of line with prices.  I’d asked one of the honchos beforehand if he’d been up all night reworking his slides in light of the events in Ukraine. He said he hadn’t - in fact he wondered whether he should give it at all, and instead say, let’s just drink the bar dry.
