First Light….

The solitary lop-sided pine growing beside the river is quite a landmark. The early mornings are becoming darker and darker. I wear a compact headlamp at the start of Maisie’s and my early walks. I spent time gardening this morning and again this evening. The day was very warm…, more like summer rather than early autumn. The war in Ukraine leads every news bulletin. It is very depressing and distressing. I feel for the people of Ukraine and I salute their president, a real leader and hero. We are with you Ukraine.
