It belongs in a museum

In a world where your worth is measured by whether or not you own the latest mobile phone, Manuel proved a great giggle at college today when he produced this beast from his trouser pocket. "You can make calls and send texts" he said, "what more do you want from a phone?"

This was all the encouragement I needed to whip out my wonderful Nokia N82 and demonstrate the delights of being able to surf the internet, check your email, play mp3s, take and edit pictures, find your way around with GPS, organise your day with a calendar and even count the number of steps you've taken.

"Yeah, but can you make calls and send texts?" was his response.
