Single blossom

The prunus I bought last year is just blossoming - somewhat later than the established trees that you see around here, but then I guess it’s a very specific type of climate on the balcony. I’ll let it do its thing, and then I’m going to lop off a few lower branches to make it a little more shapely and then move around the other side of the balcony as it’s not especially slightly once the blossom has gone. It’s funny how you treasure a single flower coming out on the balcony. There are many more to come.

Elsewhere on the balcony we are *still* waiting for the camellia flowers to pop out.

I too popped in and out of various conversations all day, but overall it was productive and at times quite reflective. In the evening, we watch an inspiring Storyville documentary about women journalists in India, “armed” only with mobile phones, clip on mics, an editing suite, and a YouTube channel, followed by the 6 Nations match between Wales and France in where we had little if any skin in the game, although Mr A found it hard, notwithstanding his surname, to overcome his antipathy to Wales…
