The Edge of the Wold

A roof over her head

There's a lot of house sparrow activity in next door's roof, we shall soon be seeing the next generation emerge into the light.  Lack of building maintenance may not be recommended, but it does have its plus side for the sparrows, starlings and jackdaws, and provides ample blipping opportunities for me on days when there isn't much other chance for photography.

After C's Qigong class in the morning, we spent several hours on a mission to Kendal, picking up some new glasses for me, doing drop offs at charity shops, picking up a comb for Gus (who now struggles to reach his hind quarters) and getting some essentials.  That was my first trip to Kendal since before Christmas (apart from for my dental appointment that didn't happen), so we have done well in keeping journeys down to a minimum.  And looking at constantly rising fuel prices, I guess we will all be trying to do that where we can.

We rounded off the day with fish and chips from the Arnside Chippy, always a good way to finish a week.
