Actually, that's a misquote.  What Ray Kinsella, played by Kevin Costner, actually said in Field of Dreams was 'If you build it, he will come". 

Well, I've built it, and it's been two hours now and they haven't.  Neither has he.  I suppose I'd better give them a bit longer.
