Spalding ......

 ............ Sheepmarket  -  1880 and 2022.    Saw the b&w photo on a wall and thought it would make a good "Split Saturday" entry here  -  only had my phone with me though..

The "castle" on the left is the Magistrates' Court where I worked from 1993 to 2005  -  the prison is long gone.

Smile for the Day:

A prisoner had been digging an escape tunnel, from under his cell, for years.
He eventually sees some light and breaks through the surface only to find himself in a kindergarten playground.
He stretches up his arms to the sunlight shouting " I'm free, I'm free "
" So what " says the little boy looking down at him  " I'm four! "
