Spring Morning Birds

Another beautifully sunny spring morning. I captured one of the chiffchaffs, which arrived on the 13th, in a bud-heavy blackthorn. I hope to get a closer shot in the coming days. Yesterday's busy robin is still grafting. Swoosh! A mallard drake lands on the lake.

MrQ, Ollie dog and I went to the Ongar property. I saw my first tortoiseshell butterfly of 2022 on the lawn. We cut a large bough off a tree which was growing too close to the bungalow. We used his long handled, very heavy, chain-saw four-handed with a wheely rubbish bin for stability. Neither of us is capable of using the machine alone. We've always worked well together.
