On and Off

Rain, hail, sun, blue skies and downpours. Typical spring weather in western Oregon. I actually like it...it's certainly not boring and the sky is often rather dramatic!

An early morning meeting, a walk in the 'hood, work at my desk, a pilates class and then another meeting and more work. All good. We're planning a big celebratory party for the botanical garden on the summer solstice. We're going to announce to the world what our vision is, and hopefully we'll have land to talk about too! We're planning for 300 people, so it's a lot of work. But how fun!  Everything from sponsors to food trucks to great plants and a whole bunch of people who really want to see this project come to fruition! 

I saw all sorts of lovely plants on my walk this morning, but this Mahonia (unknown species) was just glorious. A ray of sunshine all it itself don't you think?
