Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Salish Sea waterfront.

What happened to Spring? We drove up to the Gulf Islands this morning - the rain began as we got off the ferry. It's raw, damp, grey, winter cold. Rained as we carried everything from car to boat, and boat to cabin. I'm thankful for a covered boat! The weather report is snow at higher elevations in the Vancouver area. And thunder storms. (It WILL get better.) In a rain break, I went to the beach to see if anything interesting washed up since we were here last. Not much. A big piece of styrofoam -will make something out of that. Made a fire, filled the bird feeders, and then we had to have a nap. :-)

So here's a a photo of our Salish Sea waterfront. Those sandstone rocks look like the building blocks for the buildings in downtown Seattle! Minus a few barnacles and sea life.
