SUNNY DAY

Well it's a been a very warm sunny day today but boy has it had it's frustrations.

My friend G bought a 32" flat screen TV from John Lewis.  After two weeks the sounds completely disappeared.  He fixed it the first time, the second time whatever he did would not work.  He therefore contacted John Lewis and was advised that because he bought it on-line AND checked out as a guest he WAS  NOT entitled to the 5 year warranty or to have anyone come out from the repair service.  He was told that he would need to return the TV, fair enough and they would arrange for a courier, DPD, to pick it up bringing labels with them as G does not have a printer.  He was then told that if at any time in transit the TV got broken he would not get a refund!!!!!!!   He cannot be held responsible for how a courier behiaves, especially one chosen by John Lewis!!!  He had to spend 5 hours trying to clear things up, with two people being very rude to him, even though he was remaining calm and pleasant (calm on the service taht is).  He had had enough.

So he wrote to Dame Sharon White, Chairman of John Lewis and her passing it on to Industrial Relations he was advised that Customer Services were wrong but that he needed to return it.  Therein lies another battle.

I won't bore you with all the details, suffice it to say that after much frustration, me taking over for him as he is not well enough to cope with these things John Lewis have admitted that they had made mistakes ad that now the TV has been returned he will get a full refund.  His credit card company have said that if he does not receive the refund within 10 days then they will take over and he will have to do nothing else.

What a palaver over a small TV set!!! I have to say having helped him with this I personally will not use John Lewis again.  I've always  had reasonable dealings with them in the past but all of this has been incredibly bad.

Anyway that was this morning.  Thank heavens for Mrs Gladders Mindfulness and relaxation teachings, it has helped me a lot today.

I loved the way the sun  shone through the white-ish daffodils inthe garden so have tried to capture that for my blip - it's not exactly as I wanted it but it's not too bad.

This is my entry for Flower Friday, many thanks to BikerBear for hosting.
Do take care and stay safe and I will see you tomorrow.
