Going Up In Its World

We have plenty of ladybirds working the flowers this year. The sunny spell we are having have woken them all up. 

This was just one of the many amongst the Anemone in my front garden.

Today I did a bit more of the pruning back. What I have removed has been chipped and used as a mulch. The larger branches have been cut into lengths and made into a pile beneath the bush. 

I actually found a Sedum growing where the bush had dominated before. I have also planted a Fatsia japonica "Spiders Web' in a new space I have created. Tomorrow will be another cutback session, if my aching limbs allow...
