An Afternoon in the Garden

What was supposed to be a rainy day turned out to be pretty darned nice. I puttered around the house this morning and got out to the garden this afternoon. I always forget that it's sort of slow going in the early spring as my body gets used to gardening again. I got quite a bit done this afternoon, including tackling a patch of lily-of-the-valley that was running rampantly into the main garden. Wow do they grow fast! The yard waste bin is half full of mats of them!
