Adelaide and Glenelg

Every time we come to Adelaide we go on a trip out of town. Today we decided to stay locally (after a postponed blipmeet) and caught a tram out to the seaside town of Glenelg. It was very pleasant out there even though it came up with showers. I thought I had been there before but it wasn’t as expected - a few extras show Kids learning to surf (must be a school group in lovely shallow water) the jetty and local landmarks. The other extra shows Adelaide architecture and down town at 9.30am - hardly busy. The streets are well laid out and traffic quiet.

We are staying near the cafe strip (Rundle Street) so it’s only a short wander around to find somewhere to eat. We aren’t used to eating out a lot, I find the rich food and lack of fruit and vegetables hard. We ordered salad and chicken last night and could only eat half each - the serves were way too big. Now we are only ordering one meal for the two of us.

Tomorrow we have an early start 6.15am for Kangaroo Island so they have delivered a breakfast pack to our room. I can’t complain about the tour company, so far they have thought of everything (Imagine Holidays).
