Blue and yellow

A colour combination that, from now on, will always be associated with Ukraine.

I found a local 'stand with Ukraine' Facebook page today, and got engrossed in the threads of conversation through which local residents are finding Ukrainian refugees to sponsor and accommodate. People are sharing other ways to volunteer too, and are helping each other with the convoluted UK visa bureaucracy.   In the face of the continuing devastation, this small ray of light was good to see.

I had planned a local photography trip today, but in the event both Richard and I slept very badly. He went off to London on the early train, for a couple of Folklore Society meetings today and tomorrow, and I opted to do undemanding jobs around the house and garden.  In the extra, there's a shot of Clematis Armandii, doing its best on an unprepossessing fence.  Chatting on the phone later, Richard and I found that we'd both slept for much of the afternoon (a luxury, to be able to catch up like that).
