Puppy Love

Didn’t exactly rush to get up this morning, but a trouble free drive down the M6 meant that we got to Chester in time for an early lunch. Which, in turn, meant that we could then have a very leisurely walk into town in the afternoon sunshine, where I spotted this little dog who wanted to emulate the sand sculpture. He lay there, refusing to move, for a good five minutes until his owner lost patience and dragged him away! We wandered around the shops and I managed to get a couple of CDs I’d been after for a while as well as picking up something for tea. We still need to go to the supermarket, as we had run things right down last time we were in Chester so need to restock with essentials like milk, sugar and tea bags.
But we can do that on our way out to the cinema tonight. Once again taking advantage of only being ten minutes away from a large multiplex, we are going to watch the Jim Broadbent/Helen Mirren film “The Duke”. It has received good reviews and we enjoyed the trailer for it that we saw last time we went to the cinema.
There is only one screening, at nine o’clock, but that suits us fine because it means we don’t have to rush our tea and could enjoy a well deserved sit down when we got back from town.
So far, our “relaxing weekend” is going according to plan. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
