If you can't beat them...

Stock Dove ( Columba oenas )

A bird I don't get a chance to blip all that often.  In this area, they are mainly birds of the countryside keeping away from most habitation.  When they do come near houses they are very easily scared into flight, the slightest movement and away they go.

Many people have seen them and not realised just thinking "Oh Woodpigeon".  They can be easily told from Woodpigeons, Woodpigeons show white in the wings and next, particularly in flight.   They differ from the Woodpigeon in nest sights, they are hole nesters while Woodpigeons build a nest (of sorts, being just a flimsy platform of twigs.
