Ness Botanical Gardens

So, leaving my mum we travelled over to Chester to visit long time friends. We walked around Ness Botanical Gardens in The Wirral, where the magnolia trees were in full flower. Not having a tripod to hand, nor a willing assistant, this is a merged exposure. Ness Botanical Gardens is a part of Liverpool University, gifted to it by the family of one of the old plant hunters who travelled the world nicking samples wherever they went. Or as some gardeners call it, "spreading the diversity with a small pair of secateurs and some rooting compost"...
