Chester Canal Walk

On our second and final day with friends up in Chester we walked along the canal under sunny skies from cafe to cafe... This is the Boughton Water Tower; a grade II listed piece of industrial heritage, it had a stem pump beneath which lifted the water eight feet into the top of the tower to supply drinking water to the homes of C19th Chester. I liked the shadows particularly and the way the picture seemed quartered in light and shadow.
