We arrived home at lunch time after the most wonderful weekend.
A good time was definitely had by all.

When we opened the front door there were a few letters on the mat
including one for me from Sal (Blipper Squatbetty). She made lovely tiny cross stitches to raise money for Ukraine and in a small origami envelope put some sunflower seeds to plant, there were other lovely things too.
It was so lovely to receive them. We need kindness like this to spread throughout the world. Thanks Sal!

The news each day is bad
it can drain your joy away
the reports make us sad
it gets worse every day
then I arrive home to find
an envelope on the doormat
filled with thoughtful gifts
a tiny stitched picture that
came with sunflower seeds 
to raise money for Ukraine
such sweet acts of kindness 
fill my heart again and again.
