On the Border

Stayed up very late last night doing some translation for a colleague, and had more work to do on the computer today, so decided we all really needed to get out for a walk before I sat back down again. This is the "border post walk"; it starts at an abandoned border post between Portugal and Spain, I love the open feel and the wide views. Because of recent rains, everywhere is covered in wild flowers, papery rock roses, lavender, irises, camomile, and so many others. And utterly peaceful. We watched fish jumping, turtles putting their heads above water, ducks flying overhead, different butterflies.

Couldn't decide between the main or the extra, please say if you have an opinion.

Lent verses were John 5v1-16, which is Jesus' third "sign", after the wine and the healing at a distance; this one is where he asks a man who has been an invalid for thirty-eight years, "Do you want to get well?"
It's a great question (and the man doesn't really answer it). Even when we're fed up with our life, do we really want to it to change?

Gratefuls:
-  legs to walk with
- people I love to walk with
- a beautiful place to walk in
