Thursday Blip

A day out with friends.  Sue and Pen arrived to me at 9am this morning. Camera kit loaded and off we went to Seaton in south Devon to view the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Well it was amazing. A hundred images  (just a small part of the entries) were on display. And the dedication and commitment these photographers showed was amazing, with some still only teenagers. It was also interesting that drones took some of the awards too.

After viewing the images and coffee and cake, we headed out to the Seaton Wetlands. It wasn't very busy either in the free car park, or on the water, but a facinating place to visit with 4k of trails along the Axe Estuary, with assorted hides and viewing points. The high light really was on the way back when Penny realised she had some doggie biscuit treats in her pocket and was able to encourage some of the smaller birds to come in closer.

This has resulted in my blip for today of a Hedge Sparrow, or Dunnock, coming in close enough for a quick pic. We then headed home, after a quick snack on the sea front, few flurries of snow, but think we will visit again :-)

Camera Club this evening, so hope to catch up with you all later :-)
