The waves

A brisk and breezy day today. Last yoga class in the morning -- I ached afterwards!

Then another day of tidying and packing. It was actually warm enough to sit outside earlier, but when we walked down to San Cristóbal to meet J for tapas in the evening, I was mesmerised by the windblown waves -- like the rippling muscles of a huge sea monster. We were late because I kept stopping to gaze raptly at them, and take the odd photo of course. Another in extras.

We had a great evening with J in Antonia's. There was a noisy bunch of British ladies next to us, some of whom we know -- "Let's speak French," said J, "then they won't interrupt us." So we spoke French all evening, which was good practice. J is a regular there and this may be why the waiter brought us a giant free tapa of wedges of tortilla and pâté and toast, as well as the huge servings of fried fish and aubergine with cane syrup we had ordered. While our neighbours were gaping enviously at this largesse, the waiter tipped an entire glass of wine over S, so he got an extra freebie too. Back home under the stars ... last day tomorrow.
