Round the rugged rocks

S eventually got the car back this morning ... having been told it was ready and he could collect it at 10:30, he had to cool his heels for another hour before driving it away. Far too late to go to the intercambio by then, so instead we went straight to Motril to shop in Decathlon and Al Campo. Al Campo is an unfeasibly large supermarket, but as it's owned by French brand Auchan you find things there that are hard to find in Spanish supermarkets. Notably a far better wine selection, and lots of different types of flour too.

Back home, S made a light lunch of the orange, tomato and cheese salad we enjoyed at El Acebuchal, with the addition of avocado because we always have a glut of avocados to use up. Then we headed to the Playa del Muerto for a couple of hours; it was perfect weather for lying on the beach. Swimming -- not so much although one very powerful swimmer launched himself in and thrashed up and down alternating crawl with butterfly.
