Local view

Our local geology group was invited to a zoom meeting discussing the issues of modern farming techniques and are they compatible with nature / wildlife recovery.  It was very interesting as the speaker who is the Head of Wildlife and Conservation for the local landowner of a very large estate is very knowledgeable and well qualified in this area.  He spoke of the recent environmental legislation that should give more power to environmental issues and wildlife diversity and various other issues such as water pollution from both farming practices and the local water authorities.  An area of work they have been developing is the linking up of all the wildlife areas so they are more interconnected this would include the various large commons and the river valley.  Very thought provoking, we just hope that time and money is given to these practices.

A short trip to the supermarket in the afternoon and not much else done but its the photography nature group meeting tonight, so a busy day.

Todays blip is a view of the local hills while the sun peaked out.
