Towards Deganwy

Walks and accompanying photography tend to be afternoon rather than morning activities, but an emergency dash to B&Q for materials to repair the shed roof result in a change of routine. Yesterday’s winds have ripped the felting off the shed roof, and once G has purchased the necessary ‘stuff’, we’re off - again - to West Shore.

Today, I’m keen to walk south towards Deganwy, and G agrees to pick me up from there. He enjoys his walks along the coastal path, but draws the line at squelching through the mud of low tide - and this is always where I’ll choose to be.

The light is wonderful, and cottonwool clouds seem to hover just above the horizon in a deep blue sky. Rippled textures dominate the sands, and standing water makes a giant mirror. Once more, my favourite place is magical.

Away from here, it’s a day of double celebration. It’s Daniel and Solveig’s 5th wedding anniversary (a wedding photo is in extras)  and we also celebrate the 40th anniversary of meeting with friends Nic and Elaine on a holiday it Morocco. Yesterday, they sent us a bottle of a very special English sparkling wine, and today we toast one another’s friendship over Zoom.
