Day out

We went to Rufford Old Hall (National Trust) today (main photo). It's Tudor and really interesting. We've been before but not for some time. We had a wander around the garden, strolled to the nearby Church of St Mary the Virgin and had a look inside it and then went in the hall before we had lunch. After lunch (in the cafe) we had another wander around the garden and grounds. Thankfully the weather was fine but there was a bitter cold wind.
On the way home we called at Lathom Park Chapel (1500) and I pointed out Cromwell's Stone to Terry. I've been there a few times but never actually been in the chapel - it's only open to visitors 2pm-4pm on Sundays. Perhaps we'll go and have a look inside it sometime.
Extras of Cromwell's Stone and Lathom Park Chapel.
When we got home the wind grew stronger and ended up like a gale (again) and then it rained!
