Day off

I had a busy but nice day off. I started by clearing the dining room of my work setup, ready to resign yet more kitchen stuff. The plan is to move kettle, microwave and toaster in there so we can snack once the kitchen is bashed out.

After that I headed out for a mini plod with mum to Cully and we had an al fresco latte in the library’s courtyard garden. Then we wandered back home via Home Bargains for bargain medications for Dad and various treats for Leo. I spotted a new Proteins aisle that I told Leo about and which he will no doubt visit to make a selection.

Then Leo and I headed out to collect Nina from the station after she had spent a day or so in Wales and we met mum, dad and Ian for a pub lunch. We have to go out convoy style as we can’t all squish in one car!

Then after a little rest when we got home, Ian and I started decanting the kitchen cupboards.  We emptied 10 and did the worst ones first so think we have around 8 to do tomorrow but they have bigger stuff in so it shouldn’t take too long and then we will be done!  Just the job of remembering where we put it all and putting it back in its new home later.

The garage is looking like a disaster area. It is full of yet more new kitchen pieces plus loads of bags and boxes of kitchen decant! It is like an obstacle course in there. We have left Dad’s mobility scooter handy at the door in case he wants to tootle out but everything else is squished about in semi organised chaos! Extras.

After all that ‘fun’ we settled down and watched West Ham win their European match. It was a much less fiery match than Man City v Atletico Madrid the other day which got all rather nasty at the end.
