Filling the frame

This week's theme, set by our host Ingeborg, is 'Fill the Frame'.  I have filled my frame with a close up of the delightful solitary bee and insect house, given to me as a Mother's Day gift by Daughter #1 and her partner.  The outside is a dark teal and the tubes a natural colour so it wasn't difficult to give the image a blue and yellow tinge as a reminder that Ukraine's suffering continues.

In other news: clearly Peggy Sue felt that she had suffered as we took her to the vet for the second time in a week.  Relaxed by gabapentin last night and again this morning, getting her into the cat carrier was very easy.  So easy that even Mr MC could do it although he did take the precaution of wearing gardening gloves.
Once in the treatment room it became very clear that PS was not quite relaxed enough to have a small portion of fur shaved for a blood sample to be taken and so she had to be admitted to be sedated.  We picked her up mid afternoon, looking rather groggy and once home, limping theatrically until her compression dressing was removed.  I can assure you that it slid off so was not causing her any discomfort whatsoever.
We now wait for 10 -14 days for the results.  We can only hope that whatever  they show does not require too many visits to the vet!
Edit: I've put a picture of The Patient in extras, taking a drink from the fountain.
