The Plantings…

This group of endemic flaxes and a young cabbage tree (Cordyline Australis or “ti kouka”) are growing very well on the banks of the Taylor River. Dog-walking friends of mine have observed tui, (an endemic bird) feeding on the flax flowers. We are so appreciative of the work done by the Taylor River Enhancement Group to beautify our river environments. It is such a special place for many. Arohanui.
