Life through the lens...

The dragon.

The latest of our narcissus to flower is this stunning split - corona daffodil called ‘ Mondragon’.
A Papillon or butterfly daffodil which actually attracts butterflies, although I have only seen bumblebees up to now.
Sweetly Apple - scented.
A real stunner and we have a pot full which I planted two years ago.

After a Misty morning we did have some sunshine, and a very pleasant 19C.

Hair cut for me this morning, followed by a trip to the Pudsey Allotments and Cottage Gardeners Association shop, or rather hut.
Am now a member so I can get discounted compost, fertiliser, plants etc.
What a very friendly and helpful set of people.
Didn’t have much time for a good chat as they were very busy.
I wanted some agricultural sand, John Innes No3, and multi purpose compost.
Explained that I was filling a new raised bed.
Seem to be doing it right!

Back home and after lunch got cracking.
Also planted some runner beans in pots which are now on the windowsill in the little bedroom, along with some pots of dahlia tubers.

Youngest son came round to help put the new barbecue together for us. Actually did it all himself!
So the day finished well. Sat out with a few glasses of wine and our first BBQ of the year.
