Easter Monday.

There’s a tradition for decorating at Easter and that’s what John has been doing yesterday and today. Painting the kitchen before the full installation of worktops is completed.
This afternoon I helped him by doing the walls as he did the ceiling and the higher bits. It will need more coats but every little helps!

This morning was a bit hazy and it’s remained a little cooler than the rest of the holiday weekend. John was off early, before some of us were dressed, with Jude on the back of his bike to visit her other Granny. She was thrilled to be going with him on the back of the bike. Bath is not flat and the route would be a steep down hill run and then a steep uphill climb above Larkhall, you can see it in the background, and the around the corner and up hill again!

When they got back we set off with the girls to Sydney Gardens in the centre of Bath. We haven’t been before but they have recently opened a new play area. The park incorporates the Holborn Museum which we may visit another time.
The girls had a great time, Eda particularly liked the long swings which can go very high. Jude liked the sand play area.
It was very busy being a bank holiday and it was a bit tricky parking on the way back to the car we walked along Sydney Place and saw a plaque which stated  ‘Jane Austen lived here from 1801-1805’.

The extra shows the girls coming down the extra wide slide (with a couple of photo-bombers behind) and Jude in artistic mode when she got back from Granny Sue’s. Her own idea to get a brush and some water and ‘paint’ the blackboard.

Daddy is now doing another coat of paint on the ceiling!

You may notice on the extra with Eda that she has a pink heart shaped patch on her knee. I spent last night sewing two on these leggings. Apparently they are her favourites as they have Pom poms on the ankle. She’s very pleased with them. Two more pairs have appeared for patches with an old pair of Jude’s with clouds in the them so I may be appliquéing clouds this evening!
