Paris in The Springtime

We traveled the chunnel as planned and went through the rather disorienting feeling of not really having left the UK and arrived in Europe - not seeing the sea or really experiencing a 'crossing', but it is so quick and easy.  Then traveled south down to Maison Lafitte just outside Paris and found ourselves on the banks of the Seine with a lovely view and outside table and bench to have our lunch on by the river (see Extra).  This camping site is definitely one of the best we have been to, hot tub, pool, shop with fresh baguette and almond croissants in the morning.

Then off to the city for the reason we decided to make this detour on our way to the Netherlands - visiting our friend and past employee of BG - she started working for us at the age of 17 and was with us for 6 years, leaving only because she met and married a customer from Switzerland who was spending a year in Dallas Fort Worth.  A few years ago we visited her and her husband in Luzern when Josiah as studying there.  Now they live in Paris and so we were able to spend a pleasant evening walking from St Michel to the Pantheon and see the little coffee shop where she works now and have a fine French dining experience in a little restaurant near the Rue Mouffetarde (See Extra)
