Bleeding Hearts

Today my Mum and I bought up Waitrose, which should keep her going for a couple of weeks. The tortoise  was  sedate today as the weather was  cooler, and he didn't make any more  bids for freedom.
This rather lovely plant, Dicentra spectabilis, also  known as bleeding heart, grows well in my mum's garden where the soil is heavy clay.
I returned  home in the late afternoon tired, but glad that we had given the "Oldies" a good Easter break.
