Blood tests … or not

This morning we went across the road to the medical centre to have blood tests done for our annual check.  There was a youngish Mum waiting with her two little boys for the younger boy, probably about 3 years old, to have a blood tests done.  We felt so sorry for her as there was no way the little lad was going to let that happen.  I found out when it was my turn  that, as well as screaming, crying and yelling “no, no, no”, he was also kicking and biting, as a result of which no blood tests were done. Meanwhile his older brother sat quietly in the waiting room.  Eventually Mum and the recalcitrant boy reappeared and the family left.

After a light lunch I caught the bus to my Pilates class, following which hubby picked me up and brought me home to change before we picked up my Mum and set off to put up the weekend’s open home signs.  We stopped for coffee in Parnell and then travelled across the harbour bridge to Milford to put up the last three signs. No sooner had we done that than a text came in to say that the property had sold unconditionally, so no signs were required.  Fortunately, we were still close by, so we went back and took down the three signs.

Unfortunately, with all the driving around I didn’t really get a chance to take a blip for today, so I’ve taken a photo of a birthday card and two PostCrossing postcards, all from Germany, that arrived today.  The birthday card was posted in plenty of time for hubby’s birthday in March, and the two postcards were posted in late February.  The post really is taking a long time to arrive.
