Ruffled Feathers

I feel quite honoured to have seen a great egret. They are apparently a threatened species in these parts. There were sightings of three, but then they seemed to disappear, yet here is one. I stayed at a distance not wishing to scare it away. I watched for a while hoping it might do something, but mostly it remained stock still in its tall pose, neck outstretched. This image was of the only time I saw a change when it ruffled its feathers.

Extra: That's Rich. Another reflection/ripple shot for my collection.
