A favourite Alpine

This is a Lewisia. I have several varieties in my Alpine House.
It grows in the Rocky Mountains in Washington State in the NW corner of USA.
I think I mentioned recently that it is named after Merriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clarke expedition, for it was he who first recorded it.
This particular one flourishes outside in the top of a wooden tub on our driveway . It lives happilly at the foot of a Grisselina shrub.
For the amusement of anyone interested this morning’s memory gamewas the A to Z of trees. Without looking anything up this was how we did :
Ash,Beech,Chestnut,Dogwood,Elm,Ginkco,Hazel,Ilex,Judas tree,K ?, Lime,Mahogany,Norway Spruce,Olive,Plum,Quercus,Rowan,Sycamore,Teak,Ulmus,Viburnum,Willow,X?,Yew, Z?
Great fun
