Ceanothus

The Ceanothus or Californian Lilac have now come into flower and I took this shot when I went to hang out the laundry.  The weather was great for drying washing, intermittently sunny, rather windy and on the chilly side, but not so good for spotting bees as you can see from this pic!  In fact only a couple of the brave little creatures had ventured out into our garden and were not in the mood to be photographed!
