Feeding Time...

For once, I had a rather full Sunday here at home...did some cooking which is unusual for me...had my usual weekly coffee and chat with my friend Elaine, and phone calls to family..and again, before I knew it, the day had almost slipped away...and a beautiful day it was too..sunny and warm..

Earlier in the day, I had  hung up my new bird feeder and filled the other five, noting that I really should replace a couple of them too...and maybe fix the roof on the birdhouse...Before the day was totally gone, I thought I should sit outside for a while and see if I could get a  photo for today's blip.. maybe there would be birds...or at least a rabbit, some squirrels or maybe even a fox? According to a neighbour, there is a fox that trots through my back yard on occasion! How could I have missed that? A fox blip would be perfect!

No such luck... but there were plenty of birds..It seems that bird feeders that are filled seem to work much better than feeders that aren't? There was quite a gathering of birds out there now that there was seed for them!   The only regulars missing today were the cardinals and chickadees... perhaps they have found a more reliable source of food elsewhere?

And, by sitting outside, I also encountered my neighbours on the other side of the fence and had a really nice visit with them..and in exchange for offering them clumps of my scilla, I now have a standing invitation to go over and take photos of their fish if I am ever in need of a blip! so that worked out well!

Tonight?  Dinner in front of the TV - Sunday night is PBS night - the only night I actually sit and watch broadcast TV....
