New duck

This is a pair of Gadwall. Fairly common in much of the U.K and I have seen them many times before. But I think this is the first time I have blipped them.
The male, on the left, seems to have just lost the disinctive white flash which in winter is on its side towards the rear. It is a good identification mark but is missing from early May until the Autum.
