Au marché

A quick snap taken at Lézignan market this morning ... a different way of conveying the fact that suddenly summer seems to have arrived -- aubergines, courgettes, peppers, tomatoes, as well as asparagus and artichokes, sweet garriguette strawberries, and two small punnets of raspberries (a rare treat here) for 2 euros. We had lunch in the shady courtyard at cheap and cheerful Chez Marie, with plum blossom drifting into our wine glasses. And this evening we had a little aperitif in the garden for the first time this year. It was still 22C when we returned at nearly 8 o'clock.

In other news, Mystère crept home at some point during the night with his tail literally between his legs, and curled up quietly on the end of the bed. Not sure what he's done to it -- there are no visible wounds, but he's not a happy bunny, so he's been confined to the house today.
