Fun in the park at La Jolla Shores

Chris had some early morning calls and work so when he was done we were able to go out together to Birch Aquarium at Scripps which is the public exploration center for the world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at University of California. https://aquarium.ucsd.edu/about

What a fine attraction it is with plenty of tanks fish and marine life, sea horses, sharks, rock pools, a place for touching various sea life and a great view of the Pacific Ocean and Scripts Pier.

Landon was in his element, moving from tank to tank, pointing out fish, calling out to come and look at this and that. The extra is of him kneeling looking into a rock pool at lots of fish including the bright orange Garibaldi which is the state fish of California!

From there we had lunch in La Jolla Shores and a stroll onto the beach where we found this playground. Old times were recreated when I was pushing Chris on a swing (with Landon on his lap), something that’s not happened for many a year.

Back in San Marcos we watched Chris play 6-a side soccer in the semi final of his league’s cup. The outcome was not what they wanted, loosing 2-4. Landon was very good with us, sitting watching the game for a long time as well as riding on his scooter.
