Grebe

Great crested grebe, one of a pair, seen today at Compton Verney. They also have a little one who can be seen (just about) in the extra. I'm not sure how many chicks they have so maybe they've lost one.

Interesting to see that the parent not with the chick spent all their time diving down to find something for the chick to eat. They must be worn out by the end of the day.

Second extra is of a greylag goose with some of her chicks.

We went today to see the exhibitions that were on and of the two The Portrait Artist of the Year as can be seen on Sky Arts on TV was best. Such talented artists and some of the materials they used was amazing, such as ripped up paper for one and electrical tape for another!

The other exhibition was more of an historical one with portrait photographs of members of the Asian community, mainly in Coventry. Some in mono others in colour, some analogue and others digital, stretching from the 1950s up to the 1990s, all taken by Master who came to England in 1951. Very interesting and worth seeing.

Lunch there afterwards but due to lack of staff service was a bit slow although we enjoyed the food.

Thank you again you lovely people for the hearts, stars, and comments this past week and I do hope that each and everyone of you has a great weekend x
